Privacy Notice

P8Launcher is designed to respect your privacy and works with data stored locally on your device.

No account or sign-in is required. No analytics or advertising SDKs are included, and no tracking technologies are used. The developer does not collect or sell personal information through P8Launcher.

Your carts, save data, save states, play history, favorites, genres, controller mappings, custom layouts, and other library information are stored locally on your device.

Access to the Files app is only used when you choose to import cartridges, save a backup, or select a backup to restore. The Photos picker is only used when you choose custom cover or background images.

Spotlight indexing and Home Screen widgets use your local library data to provide on-device system integrations. This information is not sent to or collected by the developer.

P8Link Play uses the Wi-Fi Aware framework that is built into iOS to create a secure, direct connection between nearby supported devices. It does not use your router, the internet, or any server. During a session, the host sends live gameplay images and cart status information, while guests send control inputs. This session data is exchanged only between the connected devices, is not sent to the developer or any server, and is not retained after the session ends.

When you import a cartridge from the Lexaloffle BBS, P8Launcher connects directly to Lexaloffle's servers to download the selected file. Some multicart games may also request additional support cartridges from Lexaloffle while running. P8Launcher does not send your library, save data, controller settings, or other app data with these requests. Lexaloffle's services operate under their own privacy policy.

When you choose to open a cartridge's BBS thread or other external links, P8Launcher opens your default web browser, which then connects directly to those websites. Those websites operate under their own privacy policies.
